Kilbarry Lodge Stud is a National Hunt Stud farm situated on the western outskirts of Waterford City.

National Hunt Stallions have stood at Kilbarry Lodge Stud since 1997 and we are excited to add  two new stallions, Joshua Tree and Success days  to stand  alongside  Diamond Boy and Pillar Coral for the 2020 covering season.  Joshua Tree by Montjeu was a Triple Group 1 winner of seven races  and was well supported in France with over 250 of his progeny on the ground. Success Days, a Gr 2 winner of six races is an exciting edition, being the only stallion  by the ill fated Jeremy.

Pillar Coral comes from one of the best Juddmonte  pedigrees sharing his dam Coraline with Champion French sires Martaline , Coastal Path and Reefscape.  His first crop of all bay foals were well received  with great size and scope.

Diamond Boy had a busy second season covering in excess of 230 mares again. His big first crop of Irish foals  impressed with size, agility and scope  and sold well.

The farm runs a broodmare band and their offspring in combination with a herd of pedigree Charolais and Aberdeen Angus cows.  Our aim is to produce top quality national hunt horses and the stud consigns horses at the principal National Hunt auctions.
