Monsieur Lecoq Looks An Exciting Prospect For Diamond Boy

Monsieur Lecoq ran out an impressive seven length winner of Monday’s maiden hurdle at Ffos Las. Owned and trained by Jane Williams, the four-year-old son of Diamond Boy was sent off favourite under Lizzy Kelly and made all of the running in the two mile contest on heavy ground. Jumping well throughout, Monsieur Lecoq drew clear approaching the last and won unchallenged, as Grade 1 bumper winner Chambard claimed runners-up honours.

Bred by Jean-Charles Haimet and J-Pascal Liberge, the promising hurdler was bought by Nick Williams for 31,000 at the Arqana Autumn Mixed Sale as a yearling.
